AUSSIE OUTDOOR GURANTEE 1. This Guarantee is issued to the purchaser (End user) of the Aussie Outdoor® Patio and Carport System which was installed by an authorised Aussie Outdoor Distributor. This guarantee is subject to the conditions set out below and becomes valid once the Guarantee Card has been duly signed and dated by the purchaser and has been returned to Metroll within thirty days of installation. 2. Metroll guarantees that the structural design of materials and paint finishes of the product for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation subject to the provisions listed below. All beams and column sections are extruded hi tensile aluminium alloy with excellent durability and corrosion resistance, complying with AS 1170.1-1989 and AS 1170.2 SAA Loading Code. 3. The testing and design of the structural members complies with the following standards: • SAA Loading Code Part 1, AS 1170.1: Dead and Live Loads and Load combinations. • SAA Code AS4055 Wind Loads for Housings. Australian Standard AS 4600 Cold Formed Steel Structures Code and all other associated standards. Deck, Gutters, Downpipe, Capping and accessories manufactured from Zincalume® & Colorbond® Zinc/ Aluminium coated steel (herein after called “ZINCALUME”) complying with Australian standard 1397 “Hot dipped Zinc or Aluminium/ Zinc Coated sheet steel sheet” and fixed in accordance with Australian Standard 2179 and 2180 “Metal Rainwater Goods” will have a minimum life prior to perforation by weathering in the natural elements of five years from date of installation. 4. In the case of pre painted Aluminium sections Metroll further warrants that the exterior paint finish will not flake, peel or blister for a period of at least five years from the date of installation. However, normal chalking of paint finish is not covered by this guarantee. 5. Failures of Zincalume or Colorbond gutters or downpipes or aluminium sections partly or wholly due to the following causes are not covered by this guarantee: • Defects attributed to the installation of finished goods (except as provided in clause 9) • Mechanical, chemical or other damage sustained during handling, storage or erection or subsequent to erection. • Attack from chemical agents, fumes, liquids or solids other than in direct rain or run-off falling onto the product under guarantee. • Failure to remove debris landing on an accumulation of moisture retaining matter on deck, in gutters or downpipe. • Areas of metallic contact with lead or copper or subject to water run-off from copper flashing or pipes. • Installations subject to salt marine, severe industrial or unusually corrosive environments • Storm and or other causes beyond the control of Metroll. 6. Claims under this guarantee will only be considered if submitted in writing to Metroll. Metroll shall have the right to inspect the property to determine the cause of the problem. The homeowner must be able to provide Metroll with the written proof of date of purchase in the form of an invoice or receipt from his/her provider and that the guarantee was registered with Metroll. 7. If Metroll considers the claim to be valid and complying with the terms of this guarantee, at its option Metroll will either repair or replace the defective material. Metroll shall not be liable for any labour costs incurred in removal, installation or replacement of the product. Metroll cannot guarantee to replace the defective product with an identical product as they may have discontinued or made changes to the profile. In such a case Metroll will endeavour to use a product as similar to the original as possible. 8. Metroll shall not be liable for injury to the person’s, or damage to the property, or any consequential loss or damage arising from the use, or failure of the product otherwise than as expressly stated herein. 9. When the product is installed by an authorised Aussie Outdoor® Dealer, Metroll guarantees for a maximum of one year from the date of installation that the installation shall be carried out in a proper and workmanlike manner and that Metroll will replace or repair any part of the Aussie Outdoor® system that shall become defective within one year from the date of installation. 10. No claim under this guarantee will be recognised if the product hasn’t been installed within fourteen (14) days from the date of delivery to the place of installation. 11. This guarantee only applies to the purchaser for whom the product was originally installed and is not transferable. 12. In issuing this guarantee, Metroll is relying upon warranties issued by its suppliers of source materials subsequently used in the manufacturing of Aussie Outdoor® supplied by Metroll. 13. The guarantee provided by Metroll will only apply if all components have been supplied by Metroll, and installed in accordance with Metroll details. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF METROLL STEEL PRODUCTS Regular maintenance is essential to maintain the good looks of your Aussie Outdoor® product, to ensure you receive maximum life-span possible wash with a mild detergent every six months or more frequently if you reside near coastal or industrial areas. |
